Ilha dos Sapos studio actually includes three musical studios, all located in the neighborhood of Candeal. Two of them are dedicated to recordings and rehearsals, and provide excellent acoustics, top quality equipment and a spacious and comfortable environment, placing them as the best studios in Brazil. Names such as Paralamas do Sucesso, Guto Graça Melo, Moraes Moreira, Netinho, Milton Nascimento, Marisa Monte, Ivete Sangalo and even North-American producer and musician Quincy Jones, have recorded at Ilha dos Sapos.

In addition, there is a third space, also known as Cotovelo, which is used exclusively for rehearsals and is located in a house that offers boarding room for musicians.

"The main objective in opening the Ilha dos Sapos Studio, was to bring to Brazil’s Northeastern culture a level of quality that we could only be found before in New York, Los Angeles, London and France. What we have in this recording studio makes this possible. And, of course, having a studio such as this at one’s disposal also helps in the elaboration of one’s own creations. The studio also aims to bring technical quality to a very strong musical market”, says Carlinhos Brown.
